Please don’t laugh. I am a “newbie” to pop-up camping, having bought an old
Apache. I have survived quite a few problems, and am now ready to figure out
how the propane furnace works. I have no manual and no experience with this
type of thing. I notice there is a blower with 12v marked on it, two yellow
wires seeming to lead away from it, and many wires to nowhere in my storage
box(including the yellow wires. (I have identified the wires that lead to the
tail lights and marker lights. I am assuming I have to hook the wires up to a
battery of some sort to get the blower to work. What kind of battery? I
assume I will need a charger too. We have used a ceramic heater and it works
well, but I would like to get the furnace going in case we can’t get a campsite
with hookups. Is there anyway to use the regular electric hookup? I looked in
the Stone’s Campworld catalog, and found it little help.

I have a 1974 apache Roamer. The furnace gets powered from either a battery
(mine is missing also) or a power converter (120Vac to 12Vdc). If you have the
Apache power converter, I can send you a copy of the wiring manual. The manual
does not indicate yellow wires. I imagine the converters were all similar for
all Apaches. I was lucky I found the wiring diagram under one of the benches.

If your funace is a Hydro Flame furnace I can also send you a copy of the
maintenance and service manual. It is just a few page brochure but it may
help.

i have been looking for a wiring diagram for a old Coleman 3400 718 electric furnace. any place on the internet i can look at? anybody have pictures to look at that they can send me?

- Answer:you will need the brand name, model & serial #’s & then do a search by manufacturer. There should be a wiring diagram pasted inside the unit. Pull off the service doors & look on the back side of them.

Model # G3RC060C-12 Serial # G3R9309-00958 Nothing on panel covers. If I knew what fault 4 was that would help
- Answer:That number is for a 3 phase unit. Four flashes means ignition failure on Nordyne. Replace ignitor or check ground/flame sensor Does the flame light and go out in 5 seconds, or does the ignitor never glow?.

Associated Wiring Diagram Furnace Question: need a wiring diagram to connect my furnace to the thermostat and its own wiring?
My “lease to own” tenant took out the furnace and then left so I want to put it back in but the wiring block has one of it’s wires off and I don’t know which terminal it goes on – I also don’t know which terminals the (two wire) thermostat goes on. The furnace has a “Johnson” label on the outsied but the inside says that it’s a Magic Chef model G75 105D-13 Thanks Thats good information, but there is another wire on the furnace that is disconnected. First let me say that this is a downflow furnace. There is a double wire that starts on top of the gas control and one lead connects directly to the wire block and the other goes up and into an upper chamber. There is a wire right next to that one that looks the same and it goes back down to the wire block but it’s disconnected and I don’t know wich screw post it should connect to (Y, R, W, O, or G) Just another fact that may help – the white cardboard with the stamped letters also says “Trans Sec” on it. btw – the first lead that goes from the gas control to the wire block that I mentioned is connected at the W terminal.

- Answer:First place to try is Sears website, in the list at the top of the page is a button for “Manage My Home” If Sears still has paperwork, it will be there, and printable… If not talk to someone at a local heating/cooling company, or appliance parts store…..
